The doctors are not in: Trends in Health Care

Hospitals in rural areas of the country are feeling the most impact of the primary care physician shortage. This shortage is happening not only due to a smaller salary, but also due to the study track of many medical schools. The curriculum has been gearing its students toward certain specialites as of late. Some schools, however are beginning to change requirements in order to create more primary care physicians out of the students they already have.
